Busy quilting:)

Wow, another month went by without a blog post! How does time have such a talent by going by so fast:) Well, I've been real busy quilting up a storm as of late. Here are some photos of a queen size cowgirl quilt I've made with four matching quilted pillow shams. This is my second quilt like this and it was so much fun to sew and quilt for a lovely customer in Oregon.

I will post more pics of my other projects either today or tomorrow.
Have a splendid quilty day:)

P.S.: I'm better at quilting and sewing than taken photos.  Well, at least you can still see the quilt so it's not too bad:)

Two quilts done:)))

After a long pause in quilting and blogging due to an unfortunate eye injury, I am happily sewing and quilting again.  Feeling much better now and I can finally see what I'm doing :))
I have so much catching up to do, so here are two quilts that I got done in the past two weeks.
The first one is a baby quilt made with some cool and colorful Riley Blake fabrics. It turned out so cute and the customer is super happy with it. That always makes my day:) I quilted an allover swirl design on it which seems to be a customer favorite.
The second quilt is more of a couch/sofa quilt to cuddle under while watching TV. I've used Joel Dewberry's Deer Valley fabric collection which has been out of print for quite a while. The colors are just so beautiful, very rustic yet modern. I looove the backing fabric, beautiful color and design.
The quilting design looks like tree bark which adds to the "outdoorsy" rustic feel of this quilt. I am currently selling this quilt in my etsy shop:)
I'm attaching some pics:) Enjoy!
'Til next time!!

Quilted Minky Baby Quilt

Here's another quilt version using the oh so cute owl fabric! This time, I used an aqua dotted Minky for the backing and quilted all three layers with an allover swirl pattern. This quilt/ blanket turned out great, so soft and cuddly:) Just perfect to wrap up your adorable baby/toddler while the weather is getting colder.

Kumari Garden Twin Size Quilt

Doing the happy dance, I finally finished this lovely quilt for a sweet customer of mine!! It will go in the mail tomorrow, can't wait until she's going to see it! I used ninety 10" squares which I cut out from my extensive Kumari Garden fabric stash. Quilted with the awesome Glide thread in an allover meander pattern. Turned out so soft and cuddly!!! The batting was from Winline, white and 100% cotton. I truly like this batting a lot, quilting on it is like a dream:)

Hope you'll enjoy the pics:)

In the meantime, I finished another quilt:)

Heather Baliley's "Nicey Jane fabric in full display on a twin size quilt. Pieced two pieces of the rose fabric in a way that you can't see where the two fabrics met which was not that easy as it sounds:) It does look like one continuous piece. So happy that this quilt got done before my friend's birthday!

Elephant Strip Quilt with Two Quilted Standard Pillow Shams

Happy dance, got another customer quilt finished. This one was made with a variety of fabrics that my lovely customer has sent me to include in her quilt. I just love the elephants, they are so adorable. In addition, I've made two matching standard pillow shams that I also quilted on my longarm machine. They turned out great if I have to say so myself:) Everything was shipped off today and I really hope my customer likes her quilt and shams as much as I do:)
